(In the 1920's, above) Professor of Geology, Union College, Nebraska George McCready Price (1870-1963), became a leading advocate for the
scientific defense and logical acceptance of a geologically young earth
and in the Genesis story of six literal days for the Bible's Creation week.
By the 1920's his writings, to include this work, "The Predicament
of Evolution" (1925; publ. Southern Publishing Association)
were becoming well known among believers of many denominations. His
own background was as a Seventh-day Adventist, from Eastern Canada.
